At Glendale Community College, students don’t just study business—they’re given the tools, mentorship, and support to bring their ideas to life.

Through the Achieve Program and the annual Innovation Challenge, students get the chance to pitch their business ideas in a format that’s a lot like Shark Tank. The stakes? Real funding to help turn those innovative concepts into fully functioning ventures.
We sat down with Professor Brent Kleinman, who leads the program and mentors students every step of the way. His passion for education and his ability to connect with students has made the Innovation Challenge not only a learning opportunity, but also a launchpad for future entrepreneurs.

But the success of the program depends on community support. GCC is actively looking for partners and donors who want to help fund these student-led ventures and invest in the next generation of business leaders.
